Tony has been playing with PIVA since its inception and has been playing early music and folk for many years having graduated from playing Northumbrian Smallpipes for a Northwest Morris side. He also used to front a rock band, but who didn’t back in the ’80s?! Nowadays, he has an international reputation as an instrument maker specialising in wooden flutes and baroque oboes. In partnership with Eric, he also makes baroque bassoons.

Tony plays hurdy gurdy, recorder, bagpipes, curtal, rauschpfeife, crumhorn, renaissance guitar and percussion.
